Match For Mumbai
The Coláiste Choilm India Immersion Project has teamed up with Offaly GAA County Board for this exciting event on 15th December at 2pm. “Match for Mumbai” will see a Team of Coláiste Choilm Past Pupils take on the Offaly Senior Football Team in a game to be played in Glenisk O’Connor Park, Tullamore.
This game will be the centre-piece of the Fundraising effort in support of this extraordinary Project.
The Coláiste Choilm India Immersion Project has been an integral part of Coláiste Choilm since the year 2000. 15 students, 2 Past participants and 4 teachers will travel to Mumbai India, where they will experience a culture and lifestyle very different to their own while volunteering with a variety of charities and NGOs, all of whom are dedicated to supporting the poorest of the poor. This has been, and continues to be, a life-changing experience for the students. Such an ambitious project involves significant costs, including Flights, Vaccinations, Accommodation and other necessary expenses. All students are given equal opportunity to
participate in the project and consequently the project relies on the public fundraising to cover the costs. Any surplus money raised will be donated directly to the projects where the students will work in Mumbai.
A special word of thanks to all the past-pupils, some of whom are past participants in the India Project, for volunteering their services, and to Offaly GAA for making this happen.
Please support this worthwhile project and Let the Game Begin
